The list of the “Top 40 Christian Children’s Books” compiled by Kayla is a real gift for parents and other adults looking for books with deep spiritual themes for their young charges. Her carefully crafted list, which was placed under Faith and Family, shows that she has a clear awareness of how crucial it is to impart morals and lessons in the minds of children. There is a great book for every age and stage of a child’s growth thanks to Kayla’s commitment to provide a wide choice of options for newborns, toddlers, kids, and tweens.
Now that my daughter is 7 I find that it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find stories that keep her engaged and teach Christian values. I am so grateful that I found this list and I will be giving all of these books in the 5–8-year-old category a try! The last book we read together that I want to recommend because I was very happy with how she responded to it and it is a really fun morally sound story called, “The Garden Scouts: Buzzing With Love” by Rachael Hartzell. The artwork is attention grabbing and the characters are relatable (even if they are little bugs, lol). The Garden Scouts are given assignments to earn pins (just like girl/boy scouts) and these assignments teach them important lessons about friendship, love, empathy, courage, and faith. This is actually a 9 book series (we CANNOT wait) but for now only Book 1 is out. I would love to see this on a future list.

Thanks again and happy reading
The Little Soul and the Sun is not a Christian book. (“There is no good or bad, only love.”) Not recommended for children. For example, according to this book, someone was done a favor by being burned alive so that they could be forgiving toward the person who burned them.
