This talk is an excellent reminder to the youth, or to any member of the church, of Christ’s love for them. He gives us strength when we need it most, all children should lean on Him in times of need.

“Help your children build faith in Jesus Christ, love His gospel and His Church, and prepare for a lifetime of righteous choices.”

Being a parent brings on so much heartache, stress, and worry. It is the hardest thing we will do in this lifetime, but also the most rewarding. But if we choose to rely on Christ as we parent our children, He will help us make the right choices and keep the worry at bay. 

On Being Genuine by Dieter F. Uchtdorf

“I pray that we will resist the temptation to draw attention to ourselves and, instead, strive for a far greater honor: to become humble, genuine disciples of Jesus Christ.”

This talk is an excellent reminder about focusing on what’s important, and not hyperfixating on worldly things, such as appearance. It can be hard to find a balance, but if we are keeping our main focus on God, then our heads will always be in the right place.

“We must put aside our pride, see beyond our vanity, and in humility ask, ‘Lord, is it I?’”

It can be easy for us to notice or call out other peoples shortcomings, or mistakes, but it’s much harder to call out our own. However, the best thing we can in our lives is to look inward and work on ourselves.
